Bar snacks are becoming more and more popular in restaurants. Why is this?
Firstly, it is a more social way to eat. You can catch up with friends, grab a couple of drinks and share a few snacks without having to worry about reserving a table.
Secondly, it is a much more informal and relaxed way of dining. People don't always want to eat a three course meal every time they go out, sometimes they want something a little more relaxed.
And lastly, its all about the cocktails. The good thing about bar snacks is that it is your time to show off your mixologists skills and to get really creative with your cocktail menu. The snacks are a side note that should complement your drink. But that doesn't mean your snacks have to be boring! It's time to get creative with your snack menu.
We have spotted spicy popcorn, mixed nuts, olives and our personal favourite; chicken butter with sour dough bread (from Adam Handling's The Frog).
Here, we have put a few ideas together to show you how you can present your snacks. We love the Kollers bowls with lids as the lids can double up as a plate, meaning you can have two different snacks but without worrying about . Its a really innovative concept and we have served ours on a metallic effect slanted wooden board, just for that extra bit of wow factor! We can create almost anything from wood, so if you have another idea then please get in touch and let us create it for you!
