First up to feature on our Hot List, is the very talented Adam Handling. He has accomplished so much at such a young age, making him a huge inspiration in the chef world!

Adam Handling is a man on a mission. From the age of 10, he eagerly watched and learned how to cook from his Mother, until he started his official training at 16, before becoming the first ever apprentice at Gleneagles Hotel.
Since then Adam has packed a lot into his career and he is still only 28! After winning Scottish Young Chef of the year in 2011, he did a 9 month discovery tour around the Far East; became Head Chef at St. Ermin’s Hotel in London; and then became a finalist in Masterchef, the Professionals in 2013.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he officially opened ‘Restaurant Adam Handling at Caxton’ in 2014, winning the title of ‘Best newcomer UK Restaurant 2015’ in the Food and Travel Magazine Awards. The accolades keep coming with Adam, crowned British Culinary Federation’s Chef of the Year 2014 and Scottish Chef of the Year 2015, adding the publication of his first cook book ‘Smile or get out of the Kitchen’.
2016 marked another high in Adam’s career when he opened the doors to his very own restaurant, The Frog. Adam brings his love of Asian flavours and techniques - particularly Japanese – to his kitchen.
His beautifully presented dishes start with careful sourcing of top quality, seasonal ingredients, prepared in a number of different, creative ways to enhance their flavour and harmony. Diners leave feeling wowed by the ingenuity of Adam and his teams cooking techniques and flavour combinations. The G & G team included – we have dined at The Frog and loved every minute of our experience! From the food to the interior to the crockery (of course!) it is a place that you will leave feeling intrigued by and will want to experience again and again!
We get a feeling Adam is not going to stop there, he has a lot more to accomplish yet! This is why we chose him to feature as our very first ‘Hot List’ chef. His career is only really just beginning and he’s not even 30 yet!! We know there are many chefs out there, young and old, who look up to Adam – so we will be sure to keep you posted on what he gets up to next!
