A Personal Touch
BESPOKE TABLEWARE
Demand For Bespoke
Chefs are going crazy for bespoke crockery. Although this isn’t a new concept, actually we have been working with clients for years on bespoke decoration, but we have seen more demand for adding that personal touch to crockery.
There are so many reasons for this. Firstly, it’s unique. Food images are all over social media, you have to be different in order to stand out and bespoke crockery can certainly do this. We experience this all the time on our own social media. Although food is always the main focus, if we add an unusual shaped plate, or an interesting glaze or pattern that’s never been seen before, we get more of a reaction. It is all about enhancing your food and impressing your guests.
Secondly, it’s your chance to get creative. Have an idea? Then we can help put that idea on the table and make your visions come to life. We work with so many different chefs and designers, all with different tastes. And it all starts with an idea. No matter how silly you may think it is, come along to our showroom and share your vision with us – we love a challenge and we can find or create (almost) anything to transform it into reality.

Adding Your Logo
This happened recently with Paul Ainsworth, who we have worked with for years. With the opening of his new pub, The Mariners, he was looking for something a little different, “We have used Goodfellows across the business for years,” says Paul, “we absolutely loved what they do and as soon as we knew we were taking over The Mariners, I had a vision of beautiful bespoke crockery. It was only natural that Goodfellows would be involved to make my visions a reality. I visited their showroom in London and it went from there. I could not be happier with what we have achieved together.” This was a really exciting project to be involved in. Paul knew exactly what he wanted – we made a few suggestions and in the end went for white crockery decorated with a simple coloured rim with the logo added, which suited The Mariners perfectly.
Adding your logo to your crockery is such a good idea, just think of all those Instagram snaps with your logo in every one of them! It’s a personal touch and something that your diners will remember.
Which leads us to our third point; bespoke crockery will never look out-dated. This is because it is unique to your establishment, so it will always be in style, until you fancy a change, of course.

It All Starts With An Idea
So where do you start? ‘Bespoke Product Development’ sounds very daunting but we make the whole process as simple and as easy as possible. Arrange a meeting with us, share your ideas (whether you are looking for something to be made for you or adding decoration) and we will take it from there. Even if you have no idea what you are looking for, we can help put a concept together within budget. There’s lots of options on porcelain, bone china and stoneware, so there is something out there that will work for you. Whether it’s a pub concept like Paul or something more formal, we can help add that personal touch.
We also work with world class manufacturers and ceramists that can create unique products just for you. Get in touch for more information.
Setting The Stage
We can also create bespoke looks for your buffet display. Whether you are a hotel looking to impress guests or a contract caterer looking for a concept to fit with a theme, bespoke can take your buffet presentation to the next level. The thing with buffet is first impressions, when your guest walk into a room, the display should grab their attention. It is like setting a stage for the food to perform. This can be a little more challenging compared to bespoke tableware but it all starts the same way – come along to our showroom or get in touch and we will take it from there.
